Ibada Kamili: A Free Yoga Offering for Black Communities

A gentle Yoga practice of the sacred and mindful movement ritual of Kamili Yoga.

About this Event

Kamili Yoga™ is a modern Afrocentric system serve Black holistic wellness through Pan-African knowledge. Ibada Kamili is the core ritual of Kamili Yoga™, and is a structured practice of five components that channel your inward intention and energy through outward actions and movement. It is called “the complete ritual” because every dimension of your complete being—physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and universal—is honored and addressed.

Yoga movement will be a slow-paced free flow that centers breath and energy. Students will need a Yoga mat/towel, a journal, and a sacred item of their choice.

No prior Yoga experience is required, and all skill levels are welcome.

This free offering is sponsored by Yoga Alliance and Ivy Child Foundation to serve marginalized communities. Please respect this safe(r) space that is exclusively for Black-identified yogis only.
